Jessica Myers Memorial Scholarship Fund established

"Thanks to the efforts of a collaboration of family, friends and associates, we are proud to announce the establishment of a memorial scholarship fund in memory of our daughter, Jessica Myers," Mr. and Mrs. Roger Myers stated in a news release announcing the scholarship.
"The scope of this scholarship will be limited to Lynchburg-Clay Schools for this year, at least, but we have hopes that it will become a self-sustaining fund that other students across the county may be assisted from," the Myerses said.
"The memorial scholarship will be needs-based for students who are not fully covered by some other programs or who would not be able to achieve their educational goal due to some monetary concern, and that they are doing their best to achieve good grades and further improve their education."
Jessica Myers was a 16-year-old Lynchburg-Clay High School sophomore who passed away Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014 at the Mercy Mt. Orab Hospital.
Donations to the fund may be made to the Jessica Myers Memorial Scholarship Fund at any Merchants National Bank location.
