Southern State Community College is hosting a free Small Business Administration "HUBZone Boot Camp" from 9-11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11, at the college's Enterprise Center, 2035 Tri-County Road, Winchester.

The Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) program helps small businesses in urban and rural communities gain preferential access to federal procurement opportunities. These preferences go to small businesses that obtain HUBZone certification in part by employing staff who live in a HUBZone. For additional information regarding the HUBZone program, please visit www.sba.gov/hubzone.

The two-hour workshop on July 11 is designed to introduce participants to the HUBZone program, help determine whether your business is eligible for the program, and support your business's participation in the program.

To register for the free workshop, please contact Jill Nagy-Reynolds at jill.nagyreynolds@sba.gov<mailto:jill.nagyreynolds@sba.gov> or 614-469-6860, ext. 247, with your name, company name and contact information.
