Every year, the Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA chapter puts on an awards ceremony for its members and invited guests. Each year, a few supporters are selected to receive the honorary membership into the Hillsboro FFA Great Oaks FFA chapter because of their extraordinary contributions to our organization. This year, the recipients of this high honor were Rick Hometown TV & Appliances - Rick Kisling, Chuck Williams and Jeff and Marie Richmond.
Rick Kisling, for many years now, has donated and sold many appliances to the chapter. Without his help and assistance, we wouldn’t be able to keep a successful food booth during the Highland County fair. Thank you, Rick’s Hometown TV and Appliance.
Chuck Williams, for the past 24 years, has organized both county and district soils CDE competitions for Highland County. He chooses the sites and prepares the pits so we have a successful competition. Thank you, Chuck Williams.
Jeff and Marie Richmond, owners of The Backroom Paradise, have donated their venue to our chapter to host our annual chapter hoedown as a fundraiser, which is used to donate to a community member in need. In addition to the venue being donated, they have also given a monetary donation as well. Thank you, Jeff and Marie Richmond.
Publisher's note: A free press is critical to having well-informed voters and citizens. If you would like to contribute to this service, it would be greatly appreciated. Donations may be made to: The Highland County Press, P.O. Box 849, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
