Holly Hilliard named to dean's list at Duke University

DURHAM, N.C. – Hillsboro High School graduate (class of 2009) Holly Hilliard has been named to the Duke University dean's list with distinction for the fall 2012 semester.

To make the Arts & Sciences dean’s list, students must rank in the top third of their college. For dean’s list with distinction, students must rank in the top 10th of their college.

Last semester, Hilliard was one of 10 Duke University students selected to be a part of the school's capital fundraising campaign, "Duke Forward," that was launched in September 2012 at Cameron Indoor Stadium on the Duke campus.

Hilliard has been on the university's dean's list in each of her years at Duke. She will graduate in May 2013 with a major in English and a minor in music. Hilliard also served as one of the managing editors of the Duke Chronicle, the student newspaper.

Holly is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Hilliard of Hillsboro.
