Hollen earns Lions Club scholarship

The Hillsboro Lions Club held its annual Scholarship Night Thursday evening, May 22.

This year's recipient of the $500 scholarship is Marissa Hollen. Hollen is a Hillsboro High School graduating senior who plans to attend the University of Cincinnati in the fall. She wants to pursue a career in forensic psychology. Hollen is active in the National Honor Society, Girl Scouts and the Hillsboro High School Marching Band.  

The Lions Scholarship Committee is made up of Lions Earl Burnett, Tara Butler, Jane and Paul Johnson and Becky Fiscus.

The speaker for the night was Highland County Prosecutor Anneka Collins.
