Hillsboro Middle School HEROES for September announced

The Hillsboro Middle School Student HEROES of the Month of September have been announced and they are: eighth graders Kaitlyn Hacker and Jaylen Warren: seventh graders Trey Moberly and Trista Rhoades; and sixth graders Collin Martin, Destiny Noble, and Alex Walker.   

The student HEROES of the month were selected by their teachers based on their honesty, equity, respect, openness, excellence and sensitivity (HEROES), along with academics, leadership, cooperation, self-esteem and dependability. 

Kaitlyn Hacker is the daughter of Angie Roush. Her grandparents are Betty and Laverne Hargett, Granny Roush and Granny Hacker. She has a brother Quenton and a new baby sister Amelia Dawn Roush. Kaitlyn has several pets including her dog Prince, a cockatiel, Grayson, a rabbit Snowball, a Siamese fighting fish, Queenie, and five cats. Her hobbies are studying spiders and her favorite class is choir. Her favorite food is sweet and sour chicken and she likes to eat at #1 China. In the future Kaitlyn hopes to become a veterinarian and start a no-kill animal shelter. 

Jaylen Warren is the daughter of June McKillop and Princeton Warren. Her grandparents are Joe and Jackie Meyer and Debbie and Prince Warren. She has one brother, Shane McKillop, and three sisters, Julie and Jaznyn McKillop and Serina Warren. She has a dog named Wallie and her favorite activity is sports. Jaylyn says that science is her favorite class and her favorite restaurant is Old Spaghetti Factory with spaghetti being her favorite food. Her goal for the future is to be successful. 

Trey Moberly is the son of J.R. and Katie Moberly. His grandparents are Glenn and Cindy Moberly, Grandma June, and Louise Roy (Weezy). He has two sisters Taylor and Riley and a dog named Suzie. His favorite activities are sports and hunting. His favorite class is math. He likes chicken burritos and his favorite restaurant is LaCasada's. In the future Trey would like to become a teacher. 

Trista Rhodes is the daughter of Tom and Tammy Rhodes. Her grandparents are Opal and John Rhodes and Russell and Donna Lyons. She has one brother, Tyler. Trista's favorite activities are sports. Her favorite class is science. She likes to eat spaghetti at the Olive Garden. Trista's goal is to be successful. 

Collin Martin is the son of Phyllis and Gary Martin. His grandparents are Vina and Walter Richman. He has two brothers Cody and Travis and two sisters Crystal Edison and Tiffany Miller. His dog is named Sampson and he likes football and hunting. Collin says that social studies is his favorite class. He likes to eat pizza and KFC is his favorite restaurant. His goal for the future is to get to the NFL. 

Destiny Noble is the daughter of Christina Richardson and Joseph Lytle. Her grandparents are Jack and Linda Cress. She has two brothers Deddenair Noble and David Haritin. Her pets are a boxer named Girl and a German shepherd named Scrappy. Her favorite teachers are Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Wagner. Destiny says that McDonald's is her favorite restaurant but pizza is her favorite food. In the future Destiny would like to become a janitor or cleaning lady. 

Alex Walker is the daughter of Fay Alexander and Beth Ervin. Her grandparents are Bill and Carleen Alexander. She has one brother, Ty Alexander and three sisters Kerstin and Debbie Walker and Kate Alexander. Her favorite activity is gymnastics. Alex says that Mrs. Cluff's science class is her favorite. Her mom's spaghetti is her favorite food. In the future Alex would like to be in the Olympics.
