Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA Chapter

On Thursday, May 29, some of the newly elected Hillsboro Great Oaks FFA officers attended a community service project at the RestHaven Memory Gardens.

The records on file were dated and needed to be updated, so we grabbed our clipboards and got to work. We split up the rows to work as efficiently as possible and recorded the name, military branch, and any wars fought by all the veterans from the headstones.

Walking through the cemetery and reading the names of the lost loved ones made us realize that these are the people who have kept our freedom. They had families and many memories that shouldn’t be forgotten. Our officer team wanted to make sure these records were kept up to date, so that no veteran goes unseen.
