Hillsboro FFA students raise spring flowers, vegetables

Even though the Ohio weather has had its ups and downs this spring, the Hillsboro FFA Greenhouse is in full swing with spring flowers and vegetables.

The students of Mrs. McNeal’s Greenhouse management class are having a Greenhouse Sale from April 14 to May 22, 2014. Customers will be welcome to come to the Hillsboro FFA Greenhouse during week days from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

If shoppers cannot make it during these times, please call and make an after-hours appointment at (937)393-3485. The sale consists of different types of spring flowers, vegetables, and ferns.

The greenhouse management class has grown a variety of flats, individual pots, planters, and hanging pots that will be available. The students have put hard work and dedication into producing the best price and quality flowers.

This sale is a great way for the students to learn marketing and responsibility skills and assets. Our Greenhouse sale also helps our FFA members earn money for activities and trips throughout the year. The FFA members are excited to see everyone there.
