Hillsboro FFA participates in public speaking, ag sales

The Hillsboro FFA Chapter hosted the sub-district public speaking contest at Hillsboro High School.

The Hillsboro had 10 members represent the FFA Chapter in the contest.

Michaela Chaney and Josh Rhodes competed in the Advanced Prepared speaking contest. Kaylee Achor competed in the Beginning Prepared speaking contest.

Rachel Sexton and Mackenzie Williamson competed in the Extemporaneous contest and Brandon Elmore, Lauren Grover, Meridith Oglesby, Jackie Marietta, Kaitlyn Swayne, and Samuel Tucker participated in the Creed speaking contest.

Brandon Elmore, Kaylee Achor, and Josh Rhodes moved on to the district competition.

This competition was held on Feb. 19.

Several members that participated in Public Speaking Contest also participated in the Ag. Sales Contest on Feb. 19. These members included Meridith Ogelsby, Kaitlin Swayne, Lauren Grover, and Blaine Collier. These four members made up a team that placed 3rd in the competition.
