Hillsboro FFA members show hogs at Highland County Fair

On Tuesday, Sept. 8, many members of the Hillsboro FFA chapter showed at the market barrow show during the Highland County Fair.

On Monday, Sept. 7, the open show for hogs was held. On Saturday, Sept. 5 showmanship was also held for hogs.

Some of the Hillsboro FFA members who showed include Heith Brown, Mikala Waller, Jordan Williamson, Regan Claycomb, Kirsten Harp, Kaleb Harp, Janice Smith, Jacob Helterbrand, Aaron Miller and Zane Adams. All of these members showed market barrows.

On Tuesday, the Junior show took place. There were 36 weight classes and six weight divisions in total. The grand champion market barrow was owned and shown by Alex Hollar. The reserve grand champion was Regan White.

After the show, extra hogs were loaded out if more than one was taken by a showman.

The Hillsboro FFA chapter is very proud of all of their members.
