On Tuesday, Nov. 17, the Hillsboro FFA held their annual Greenhand Night.

This night is to recognize all the first-year members of the FFA chapter and award them their Greenhand degree. Members receive a pin which can be worn on their FFA jacket.

This degree is the first of four different degrees offered by the FFA Organization. The four degrees that can be awarded are Greenhand, Chapter, State and American degrees. There were 63 new members who were awarded the Greenhand degree.

The guest speaker for the night was Aaron Klohn, the State FFA Reporter. He spoke to the members about starting to pursue their dreams.

The FFA also provided food for the banquet, which included a hog that was donated by United Producers.

The night was very successful.
