Hillsboro FFA members participate in Ag Science Fair

The Hillsboro FFA Chapter had three members participate in the Ag Science Fair at the 86th Ohio State FFA Convention.

Meredith Oglesby participated in the Animal Systems category. The study of animal systems, including life processes, health, nutrition, genetics, management and processing, through the study of small animals, aquaculture, livestock, dairy, horses and/or poultry.

Meredith earned a Gold rating with her project.

Amber Chaney participated in the Plant Systems category. The study of plant life cycles, classifications, functions, structures, reproduction, media and nutrients, as well as growth and cultural practices, through the study of crops, turf grass, trees and shrubs and/or ornamental plants.

Amber earned a silver rating with her project.

Peyton Kidder participated in the Power, Structural and Technical Systems category. The study of agricultural equipment, power systems, alternative fuel sources and precision technology, as well as woodworking, metalworking, welding and project planning for agricultural structures.

Peyton earned a Gold rating with her project and placed first in her category.

Peyton will continue on to the National FFA Agriscience Fair in the fall.

Congratulations to the three Hillsboro FFA Participants on a job well done with their projects.
