Hillsboro FFA member receives scholarships

Each year, the Hillsboro FFA Chapter attends the Washington Leadership Conference in Washington D.C.
The conference is six days. The members room with three other people they have never met and have the opportunity to meet people from all over the United States, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. This trip can be costly but also very rewarding.

This year, the Hillsboro FFA Chapter applied for the scholarships that the Ohio FFA Foundation and Ohio FFA Alumni Association provide to members. Bryanna Buerkle was fortunate enough to receive two $300 scholarships. Out of 50 applicants, Buerkle received the $300 dollar Agri-Woman Scholarship. Buerkle also received the scholarship from the Ohio FFA Alumni Association.
Buerkle will be awarded these checks at the 88th Ohio FFA Convention and will attend the Washington Leadership Conference during the first week of June.
