Lead Summary
By
Erin Clark-
On Friday, May 13, the Hillsboro FFA chapter participated in the annual Food for America event.

This event is hosted by the FFA chapter for the Hillsboro Elementary kindergarten students.

These members and students met at the home of FFA vice president Lauren Grover, where the event took place. There were four busloads of kindergarten students that participated in 10 stations: Hayride, Grain ID, Dairy, Planting/Soils, Farm Games, Pond, Crafts/Storytime, Chickens, Hay Maze and Petting Zoo.

About halfway through the ten stations, the members and students took a break for lunch, which the FFA Chapter grilled out. This created a time of fellowship between the FFA members and the students to get to know each other.

The Food for America event allows for FFA members to teach the younger students about agriculture in a fun, yet educational way.
