Hillsboro FFA hosts career development event

On Tuesday, Oct. 21, the Hillsboro FFA hosted the 2014 District Job Interview Contest.

There are five divisions of students who must complete a cover letter, resume, application, interview and a follow-up letter.

The divisions are based off of student grade levels as Division 1 – Freshman, Division 2 – Sophomore, Division 3 – Junior, Division 4 – Senior and Division 5 – Junior or Senior that is a first-year member.

The chapter had four participants at the district level, which were Cameron Middleton, Kaleb Harp, Keely Bennington and Braden Puckett. Kaleb Harp placed fourth in his division out of 19 participants. Throughout the evening, we had 77 participants. Along with our contest participants, we also had some chapter members who acted as hall monitors and room workers throughout the night.

The chapter would like to thank all judges and helpers and congratulate all participants.
