Hillsboro FFA hosts Ag Day
Lead Summary

Jaiden Hughes-
On Oct. 18, the Hillsboro FFA Chapter hosted their annual Ag Day at Hillsboro High School. There were 169 fourth graders who participated in Ag Day, and roughly 80 FFA members attended.
The members worked hard to inform the fourth graders about agriculture and encouraged them to join the FFA when they get into high school. There were ten stations around the high school campus, including a petting zoo, trail mix, a show ring and pumpkin painting. In these stations, fourth graders had the opportunity to learn about different farm animals, learn about where our food comes from, how to show a pig and how important agriculture is to our everyday life.

“It was fun to teach the fourth graders about agriculture and watch them have fun,” freshman member Breanna Cooper said.
The members of the chapter and the fourth graders had a great time.
After Ag Day was over, the officers held a meeting and then had many fun activities set up for the rest of the day. The members enjoyed bonding with everyone and look forward to next year’s Ag Day.
