The newly elected officers for the Hillsboro FFA Chapter met at Hillsboro High School for the first day of their officer retreat.

They started off the day with some team-building exercises. After a lot of working together as well as thinking together, they completed all of the obstacles that the advisors had in store for them.

Later on, they all discussed how to better the chapter, themselves and even the advisors.

After lunch, they sat down and delegated jobs such as creating a calendar that will be useful to every FFA member this year as well as figuring out a time and place for their next FFA meeting which included a letter about it to send to each FFA member.

They also worked on planning for the cornhole tournament held at the Festival of the Bells. After a hard-working first day, they rested for the next day as their “fun day.”

On their second day, the officers finished up some detail work from the previous day and headed out for their day filled with fun. The officers decided to spend the day at Scene 75.

They participated in a variety of activities such as, go carts, bumper cars, laser tag, mini golf, and even worked together to complete a laser maze as a team.

Emily Earley said, “I almost think the best part of our officer retreat was the car ride to Scene 75, joking, laughing and a lot of singing."

The newly elected officers have bonded and created new friendships with each other in order to make this school year fun and successful.
