Hillsboro FFA holds Greenhand Night

On Nov. 17, the Hillsboro FFA Chapter held its annual Greenhand banquet.

At this banquet, all first-year FFA members are awarded their Greenhand degree.

Greenhand degrees are given to any first-year members. This year, we had a guest speaking from the Ohio state FFA officer team. Meredith Oglesby, who is the state FFA vice president, gave a motivational speech during the ceremony.

Producers Stockyards donated the hog for the meal at the banquet this year. Hunter Meats donated the processing of the hog as well. The Grover family also helped in preparing the meal for all of those who came to the event.
