Hillsboro FFA graduates receive American Degree at National Convention

Hillsboro FFA Chapter 

On Nov. 1, Braydon Lane and Riley Collins received their American Degrees at the 98th annual National FFA Convention. Braydon and Riley are graduates of the Hillsboro FFA chapter. 

The American Degree is the highest achievement awarded in FFA. The recipients first had to get their Greenhand, Chapter, and State Degrees, meeting the requirements for each, before moving on to go for the American Degree. Each degree has requirements that make it more and more difficult to attain, proving that only the best, most hard working, most willing to learn and improve themselves through agriculture and FFA can achieve this award. 

Both Braydon and Riley have worked very hard to earn this achievement and have gained lots of valuable experiences and skills along the way. Braydon’s supervised agricultural experiences (SAE) were turf grass management at Pohlmans Lawncare and working for Cummings Catte. Riley worked for Sullivan Supply, Sunrise Cooperative, and had beef and swine projects. Congratulations to Braydon and Riley on earning this highly coveted award.
