Hillsboro FFA competes at Wilmington Aggies contest

On March 2, the Hillsboro FFA chapter participated in the Wilmington Aggies Livestock judging contest.  

This event took place at the Clark County Fairgrounds, with 96 other chapters in attendance. Overall, the Hillsboro FFA chapter placed ninth out of 96 other teams that participated.

Grant Crum competed in the agronomy judging, where he placed 66th overall. The Hillsboro FFA also had a few students who participate in the equine judging. This team placed 24th out of 63 teams.

Our chapter would also like to congratulate Jacob Helterbrand, who individually placed 13th out of 773 students, which is a big accomplishment. During this event, members judge animals based off of the way they look and their type of cuts. This contest helps students with fair projects and how to pick the proper animal.
