Hillsboro FFA competes in job interview contests

Members of the Hillsboro FFA chapter recently participated in the Sub-District and District Job Interview Contests.
The Sub-District contest was held Nov. 6, hosted by the McClain FFA Chapter. The Hillsboro FFA chapter was well represented by five members, and three of the members advanced on to districts.

“This is a great opportunity that will help prepare me for a real job interview,” Hillsboro FFA member Larkyn Parry said.
On Nov. 9, the Hillsboro FFA hosted the District Job Interview Contest. Madison Stratton, Jonathan Hatfield and Jaiden Hughes represented the chapter. Hughes got third overall for Division II.
The Job Interview contest is a great way for students to learn how to make a resumé, cover letter and follow-up letter and how to master the interview process.
The students are learning valuable life skills that will help them in life now and later.
“I wish I would have done Job Interview sooner,” Madison Stratton said.
The Hillsboro FFA is proud of all members who participated and would like to thank all the teachers, staff, judges and parents for all their help.
