Hillsboro FFA chapter holds July meeting

Lead Summary
By
Peyton Kidder-
On July 25, the Hillsboro FFA held its July meeting at Ashley and Taylor Chaney's house.

For many, this meeting marks the beginning of another year in the FFA. For incoming freshmen and first-year members, it provides an opportunity to meet their fellow FFA members as well as their advisers, with whom they will be spending much time throughout the coming school year. Forty-two members and guests attended the meeting.

After an introduction of advisers, officers and new members, various games were played, including everything from cornhole to “drip, drip, splash,” a water version of “duck, duck, goose” in which one is more than likely going to have a pitcher of water poured on his or her head at some point). Pizza was served, and after dark, the members gathered around a campfire for s'mores.

For the new members, that evening was only a small glimpse into the FFA. The chapter hopes that they will continue to invest themselves in the organization, and as they do so, make many friends and memories that will last well beyond their time as a member of the Hillsboro FFA Chapter.
