Hillsboro FFA attends Wilmington College Speak to Lead

Hillsboro FFA Chapter 

On Feb. 5, seven of our FFA members attended the Speak to Lead contest hosted by the Wilmington Ag Ed Society at Wilmington College. 

This contest gives students the chance to develop their public speaking and communication skills. Abriann Anderson, Lily Fugate, Blair Gard, and Brooklyn Parker Creed competition where they were asked to memorize the FFA Creed. 

In the Beginning Prepared contest, Ann Boyd and Bri Foxx wrote and memorized a speech to compete against others and answer a series of questions. 

In the Advanced Prepared contest, Grace Allen and Claire Winkle both memorized a speech and answered questions to the best of their ability. 

Adalyn Gaines competed in the Extemporaneous Contest. She wrote a short speech after getting a random topic and presented it before a panel of judges. Congratulations to all of those who competed.
