Highland County TAG students visit Chicago on annual field trip

Highland County’s Talented & Gifted (TAG) students recently experienced Chicago, Ill. on their annual TAG field trip.
The 45 fifth-, sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders and six chaperones toured Chicago with stops at the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Architectural Studio, the Museum of Science & Industry, the Field Museum of Natural History, Willis Tower, the Shedd Aquarium & Oceanarium, Adler Planetarium, Millenium Park and the Navy Pier.
Another highlight was a narrated boat tour along the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. The group also toured the Tippecanoe Battlefield & Museum near Battleground, Ind.

Students attending from Fairfield Local Schools were Saylor Priest, Halle Hamilton, Noah Allering, Rilee Storts, Alexis Tompkins, Kylie Fauber, Nayomie Ludwick, Braxton Harrison, Cody Ayers, Laynee Duffie, Tanner Dixon, Bryson Simmons, Brayden Zimmerman, Justin Sowders and Bella Warner.
Students from Hillsboro City Schools were Justin Conn, Nicholas Turner, Jack Roades, Lydia Couser, Riley Stratton, Evan Fender, Abigail Koogler, Rylee Callahan, Sydney Callahan, William Hart, Emily McGinnis, Brooke Ulicny, Elizabeth Rinehart, Aubrie Middleton, Alexandra Crago, Breanna Cooper, Owen Ryan, Jonathon Hatfield and Xander Willoughby.
Bright Local School District was represented by Chandra Hill, Cora Gillespie, Evan DeAtley, Madison Knox and Hope Hofer.
Lynchburg-Clay students included Dawson Osborn, Ryan Baker, Jenna Waits, David Burton, Bethany Corcoran and Konner Miller.
Chaperones for the trip were Mrs. Melissa Gillespie, Mrs. Michelle Ryan, Mrs. Tonia Armstrong, Mrs. Susan Priest, Mrs. Joni Minton and Mr. Jason Ayers. The trip was coordinated and chaperoned by Kimberly Douglas, Coordinator of Gifted Services for Highland County, in conjunction with Lisa Pfouts of Eagle Rock Tours of Fredricktown, Ohio.
