On Friday, March 3, agriculturalists and businessmen and women from around Highland County gathered at the Patriot Center at Southern State Community College for the annual event known as Ag Is Everyone's Business.

That morning, FFA officer teams from Hillsboro, Lynchburg-Clay, Mowrystown, Fairfield, and Greenfield, as well as students of the agriculture program at Southern State served breakfast.

State FFA officer Ryan Matthews was also in attendance. After breakfast, speaker Mike Pearson discussed his personal experiences in the industry of agriculture, changes in agriculture, and challenges he foresees for agriculturalists in the years to come. Members of the audience also had the opportunity to participate in a question-and-answer at the end of Pearson's speech.

Breanne Fender, Hillsboro FFA Chapter President, commented, "This event is a great opportunity for FFA members to serve the local community and learn more about agriculture. We look forward to participating every year."
