Highland County Farm Bureau announces scholarships

Highland County Farm Bureau is pleased to announce that Taylor Davis has been chosen to receive a $1,000 scholarship from Highland County Farm Bureau.

Halee Allen and Kelsey Sheeley will receive a $500 scholarships.

Davis, a 2014 graduate of Hillsboro High school, is the daughter of Jim and April Davis of Hillsboro. She has applied and been accepted at the University of Kentucky and the Ohio State University (Newark campus). Taylor's course of study will be pre-veterinary medicine.

• Allen, also a 2014 graduate of Hillsboro High School, is the daughter of Trent and Kim Allen of Hillsboro.

She has applied and been accepted at Wilmington College and The Ohio State University, Agricultural Technical Institute, in Wooster. She plans to study food science and become a meat inspector.

• Sheeley, is the daughter of Tim and Karen Sheeley of Hillsboro. She is currently a student at Wilmington College where she is majoring in Agriculture and Agriculture Science. Her goal is to become an agricultural education teacher and continue raising purebred livestock.

The Highland County Farm Bureau Board of Directors wishes the best of luck to these young people as they continue their education.
