Head Start celebrates school year's end with bowling party

By
-

The Highland County Community Action Head Start program recently visited Highland Lanes at 1086 North High Street, Hillsboro, and an end-of-the-year celebration. The manager, Shane Ison, enthusiastically supported the event, and opened up the business on a day it is normally closed in order to accommodate the Head Start children and their families. For many of the children, this was their first bowling experience. We would like to thank the employees at Highland Lanes for their help in making this an enjoyable experience for the children in the program.

Head Start and EArly Head start take applications year-round. The Head Start portion of the program operates from September through May and serves children ages 3 to 5 years. Early Head Start operates year-round and serves pregnant women and children from birth to age 3.
