HCCS presents Special Reading Achievement Awards

Lead Summary
By
Brian Cassner-
Highland County Christian School has a library program called Read-A-Riffic that encourages students to take their reading seriously. Whether reading independently or out loud to share their book, students learn that reading is always an adventure.
Students were asked to read, and for every half hour that they read, a card was marked to represent the time. The students who spent the most time reading during a nine weeks period were rewarded for their efforts.
The top readers are as follows:
                                             1st grade- Chesnie Pharo
                                             2nd grade- Hannah Collett
                                             4th grade- William Cassner
                                             5th grade- Ashley Collett
                                             6th grade- Emily Miller
The Read-A-Riffic students received a Write/Make your own storybook, along with a free kid's meal from Bob Evans and a free kid's buffet at Ponderosa.  Congratulations, students!
