The Highland County Christian School fifth- and sixth-grade classes participated in a bake sale fundraiser on Tuesday. All proceeds from their bake sale go to Samaritan's Purse to benefit the  victims of the devastating Haiti earthquake. Emily Miller and Caitlin Foley of Mrs. Amelia Robinson's sixth-grade class and Emery Legg of Mrs. Michelle Herren's fifth-grade class baked cakes, cookies, breads, and other treats and sold them at Great Scot with the help of parents Nila Legg and Anita Foley. Mrs. Herren's class came up with the fund-raiser idea, and both classes participated. Great Scot employee Karen McElwee (above) helps out by making one of the first purchases.[[In-content Ad]]
