Members of the Honor Guard also presented the history behind the 13 folds of the flag, followed by songs, poems and readings by the students.
A PowerPoint presentation highlighted several veterans who had been interviewed about their service by some of the HCA students. One of the questions our interviewers asked was "If you were called to serve again, would you be willing?" The answer was unanimously, “yes.”
God bless all veterans and their families for sacrificing a portion of their lives to protect our great nation and helping to maintain our freedoms. As John 15:13 says, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” It is a privilege to be able to pay honor to veterans in our community who have served our country.
