Local nonprofits will get the opportunity next month to gain education and understanding about how to keep their nonprofit organizations compliant in a session to be held on the Greenfield school’s campus.

Charitable University, a new program through the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, will provide training for nonprofit organizations on things like board governance, government filings, record keeping, financial activities, and fundraising. The free course aims to help nonprofits protect themselves and those they serve.

The free, in-person training session will take place on June 10 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the McClain High School cafeteria.

Advance registration is required and that can be done by emailing Lynette.Santoro-Au@ohioago.gov.

If anyone is interested, but unable to attend the training, they can go to www.Charitable.OhioAGO.gov for tools and resources on staying compliant as a charitable organization.
