Tickets are one for $2 and three for $5 and will be sold at boys and girls home basketball games and home swim and wrestling meets. Tickets can also be purchased from Hi-Y’s YG participants (Sarah Free, Cierra Bolender, Justin Hall, Mallory Faulconer, Maysun Faulconer, Aly Murphy, Kenzie Shrout, Emily Grate, Abby Atkinson, Wesley Potts, Emily McVay, Libby Williams and Chance Lane).

The raffle basket is a fundraiser to help students pay for Ohio YLA Youth in Government Student Legislature and Model Supreme Court costs. These costs are almost $300 per student, so your raffle ticket purchase will help families afford this valuable life experience.

Youth in Government is a national government and politics program that promotes civic literacy as well as community service. The Student Legislature and Model Supreme Court gives students the chance to participate in the legislative or judicial branches of government at Ohio’s Statehouse next spring. Essentially, these students are getting real-life experience and are, quite possibly, future government leaders.

The raffle basket will be raffled off at the first boys basketball game after Christmas break (Saturday, Jan. 11). You do not have to be in attendance to win.

Additionally, Hi-Y members ask that you thank and support the businesses that are helping them participate in Student Legislature and Model Supreme Court.

For more information, contact Hi-Y President Sarah Free at sarah.free@greenfieldmcclain.org, Vice-President Cierra Bolender at cierra.bolender@greenfieldmcclain.org or Secretary/Treasurer Justin Hall at justin.hall@greenfieldmcclain.org.
