Fundraising campaign announced for McClain busts

The Edward Lee McClain Day Committee has announced a fundraising campaign to raise funds for white marble busts of Edward Lee and Lulu McClain to be placed near the marble staircase at MHS.
The committee needs to raise at least $20,000 for the busts, and the names of larger donors will be permanently displayed near the busts of Mr. and Mrs. McClain. A donation of $1,000 will give donors gold status, $500 donors will have silver status and $250 donors will have bronze status. More than one name can be included with any of these donation amounts. Any additional funds will go to the Art Restoration Fund.

Checks (tax deductible) should be made payable to The Greenfield Foundation with the notation “McClain Bust” in the memo line. The Greenfield Foundation’s address is P.O. Box 210, Greenfield, Ohio 45123.
The idea for the busts came from the Edward Lee McClain Day Committee, whose members include Linda Penn, Jimmy Jones, John Wilson, Ron Coffey, Larry Roosa and Jason Potts.
Approximately four months will be needed to create the busts once the order is placed. The committee hopes to unveil the busts of Mr. and Mrs. McClain during the Greene Countrie Towne Festival next July.
