Fairfield students hold science fair

On March 2nd, Fairfield 8th grade held their 8th grade science fair.  Ten team projects received superior ratings and will be representing Fairfield at the District Science Day at Wilmington College on March 27th.  The top projects include:
Honorable Mention:
•        Gage Montgumery and Christian Bartley with their project on catapults.
•        Dylan Rhode and Briana Evans and their project that tested the effects of soap on plants.
3rd Place tie:
•        Wyatt Crothers and Keenan Davis with their experiment that shows the effects of corrosive drinks on teeth.
•        Alex Cain and Tanner Ayers with their project about wind power in Ohio.
2nd Place:
•        Allyna Hagan and Heather Cox with their project that powered a chain saw with biodiesel.
1st Place:
•        Blake Hildebrant and Michael Mangus with their experiment that tested well water in Highland Co.
The other groups that qualified for districts include:
•        Jordan Anderson and Taylor Averdisian
•        Cody Bennent and Zach Cox
•        Tarah Mongold and Jessica Francis
•        Joey Wilson and Wesley Anderson
