Fairfield student finishes 3rd in national poster contest

At Fairfield Local Elementary and Middle School, art students in first through sixth grades recently competed in the National School Bus Safety Poster Contest.

Thousands of school districts in over 40 states participate in local and state-level competitions to promote safer school transportation and to encourage school bus safety. This year’s theme was “#STOP ON RED!”



Fairfield art teacher, Mrs. Susan Priest, submitted students’ posters to the Ohio Department of Education. Selected winners from the state level in four divisions go to New York to be judged nationally.

Fairfield Middle School fifth-grader Nevaeh Durham-Tate won third in the nation in the third-fifth grade division and first in the state in the third-fifth grade division. The school congratulates Nevaeh for this honor.
