At its Regular Meeting held November 16, 2009 the Fairfield Local Board of Education………
• Approved the following donations: $200 from Candle-lite to the FFA
• Approved financial statement and payment of bills
• Approved the Master Agreement with the FEA
• Approved District Staff Salary Schedule
• Employed Shannon Yochum as Reading Coach grades K-4
• Approved Sara Linder as Intervention Specialist for K-4
• Approved Independent Contractor Agreement for Language Facilitation with Debbie Gustin
• Approved resignation of Karen Rose as Junior Class/Prom Advisor
• Approved Supplemental Contracts for: Glen Coleman (8th Girl’s Basketball), Steven Dugger (Boy’s 7th Basketball), and Tammie Garey (Junior Class/Prom Advisor)
• Approved Chad Hamilton as Boy’s Varsity Basketball Volunteer
• Approved the following non-certified subs: Darla Worrix (Bus), Charles Worrix (Bus), Andrea Stanley (Aide/Secretary), Patricia Roades (Aide @ Bright Local), Amber Wright (Aide/Secretary), Cynthia Cobb (Cook/Aide/Secretary), Michael Bailey (Custodian), and Michell Rubio (Cook/Aide/Secretary/Bus)
• Approved Service Agreement with OSBA for Policy Development Services
• Changed Shuttle Route from 2hours to 3 hours
In his report, Superintendent Bill Garrett……
• Discussed the OSBA Capital Conference
• Discussed Health Department and Liability Insurance Inspections
• Discussed the policy implications of the recently passed HB1
• Discussed current state of the Income Tax Reduction to offset loss of VLT monies
• Announced that H1N1 shots will be given on December 1, 2009 for any student that wishes to have the vaccination

• Congratulated Fall Sports Teams and wished the winter teams best of luck
• Thanked everyone (including the students) that helped to plan and participated in the Bond Fire, Olympics, Dinner, Auction and Dance
• Congratulated the Kickers soccer team on winning the league championship and success in the state tournament
• Thanked all Veterans for their service to our country
• Thanked the public for their participation in the recent elections
• Thanked staff for their ratification of the Master Agreement
• Congratulated the following students for winning a “ride to school” in the vehicle of their choice for their artwork: Halle Hamilton (Kindergarten), Allissa Hester (1st Grade), Corey Allen (2nd Grade), Ciara Lister (3rd Grade), and Hannah Wiley (4th Grade)
• Expressed appreciation for all the good things that are happening in the
