Fairfield Local FFA members make care baskets, handmade cards for local first responders

This Lions Care Day on Dec. 19, Fairfield Local FFA members dedicated their time to serving the community by creating care baskets and handmade cards for local first responders. 

The project focused on showing appreciation to those who work tirelessly to those who work tirelessly to protect and serve, especially during the very busy holiday season.

Members worked together to assemble over 20 baskets filled with both thoughtful items and encouraging messages. 

Each card was carefully drawn and written on to express gratitude for the daily commitment and sacrifices made by the first responders. This service activity allowed members to reflect on the importance of giving back while highlighting the core values of leadership, service and community involvement as promoted by the National FFA.
