Fairfield High welcomes back nationally known smooth jazz artist
The area’s first annual performance of a Chocolate Jazz Fundraiser will take place on May 15 in the Leesburg area at the Fairfield High School Auditeria at 7 p.m., doors open at 6:30 pm.
Some things in life just make you naturally feel good. Two of those things are chocolate and mellow smooth jazz music. Combining two of life’s “little pleasures” into an evening of Chocolate Jazz is the invention of gifted flugelhorn and trumpet player David Wells, a national smooth jazz recording artist and Parkersburg, WV native. Combining two of life’s “little pleasures”, smooth sounds and scrumptious desserts, in an evening of smooth jazz featuring national smooth jazz recording artist David Wells accompanied by his live band from Columbus, makes for a truly unique music experience. Add our Gourmet Chocolate Jazz Coffee and some rich chocolate desserts, and that’s Chocolate Jazz.
“Chocolate Jazz” is catching on all over the country,” said Wells. “and I wanted to bring the concept across the country. I hope music (and chocolate) fans will come out to see what we’re doing in several cities around the country.”
"As the Band/Choir Director for Fairfield Local Schools, I am pleased to announce that several of our student musical groups will have the opportunity to share the stage with David Wells and his band for his "Chocolate Jazz" concert" said Terry DiLuciano.
"Mr. Wells "wowed" the audience at our Chocolate Jazz fundraiser last school year, and we look forward to being "wowed" again. This is an opportunity to not only promote the arts in our area, but to raise funds for our music program."
