Alexis Tompkins-
On Friday, Feb. 9, 15 members of the Fairfield FFA chapter traveled to Ohio State University to attend the 2018 Young Leaders Conference.

This is a conference for high school students that is presented by the men of Alpha Gamma Rho and the women of Sigma Alpha. Students who attend have the opportunity to improve leadership skills and communication abilities.

After eating breakfast, the students split into sessions, where they heard from many professionals in the agricultural industry. They also got to hear from keynote speaker Nicole Kraft.

Sigma Alpha and Alpha Gamma Rho gave presentations and provided an industry fair experience where students could explore different careers and talk to professionals in that field.

Fairfield FFA members said they met many new people and made many new friends. They definitely learned about leadership and learned more about finding their role in the agriculture industry. This conference is a great experience, and the members look forward to attending next year.
