District President Hallie Sue Hiser visits Mowrystown FFA

On Oct. 4, the Mowrystown FFA chapter had a visit from Ohio FFA Association District President Hallie Sue Hiser.

The chapter had a wonderful time interacting with the District 9 president and participating in all her workshops.

One of her workshops consisted of teaching members about world hunger. In this workshop we learned that 18 out of 100 people are starving each day. If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes in your closet and a bed to sleep in, then you are richer then 75 percent of the world population.

This workshop opened students' eyes to how the rest of the world lives. The day was an enjoyable one and FFA chapter members thank Hallie for her visit.
