Christel Dalton new director/teacher at First Presbyterian Preschool in Greenfield

The First Presbyterian Preschool in Greenfield welcomes new Director/Preschool Teacher Christel Dalton.

Christel has an associate of arts degree with a concentration in early childhood education.

She is married to Tim Dalton and they have two children, Trevor and Tanner.

She has visited and observed in many schools and has worked in an early childhood environment for four years.

She is actively involved in her children’s school and brings with her a positive plan for the preschool with a diverse curriculum that will foster each child’s natural curiosity and desire to learn.

The First Presbyterian Preschool believes that each child is unique and important and each child has his/her own way of learning.

"We will guide and nurture these abilities through activities and centers that will stimulate their growing minds," Dalton said. "As always, we provide a safe and healthy learning environment for our children."

The First Presbyterian Preschool offers a Weeschool program on Tuesday and Thursday from 9-11 a.m., with a monthly tuition of $55. This program was developed for children ages 3 & 4 that are getting ready to go to preschool.

The preschool program runs Monday through Thursday from 9-11:30 a.m., or from 12:30-3 p.m., with a monthly tuition of $80. This program was developed for children ages 4 & 5 that will be attending kindergarten the following school year.

Current staff members include:

• Bonnie Morehead, Weeschool Teacher. Bonnie has an Associate of Applied Science Degree with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. She is married to Duane Morehead, has two grown sons and daughters-in-law, and has one granddaughter. She volunteered at her son’s school for many years and has recently re-entered the preschool scene.

• Renae Harris, Assistant Teacher/Preschool. Renae has been with The First Presbyterian Preschool for 10 years. She is married to Jim and they have two children, Zach and Emileigh.

• Carolyn Nichols, Assistant Teacher/Weeschool. Carolyn is a graduate of Wright State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership/Business Administration. She has more than 20 years of childcare and administrative experience.

They are currently accepting applications, which can be picked up at the main church office located at 457 Jefferson Street, Greenfield, Ohio 45123. Applications may be dropped-off or mailed to this address. There is a $25 non-refundable registration fee that is to be returned along with the application.
