   The staff at the Leesburg Library would like to thank our imaginative youngsters who participated in our October Make a Mask contest.  Please come in and pick up your mask and your prizes if you haven't already done so.
   Our Merry Money Reading Program for kids ages 2 through 6th grade continues during the month of November.  All reading logs must be turned in and money received by Tuesday, November 24.  Our Christmas Store will be open on Saturday, December 5th from 10:30-2:30.  Details regarding your assigned shopping time will be available when you have turned in your reading logs and received your Merry Money.
   We have another busy month of programs and activities planned for our patrons.  We hope you will be able to join us for any or all of the following:
• Knit Together meets on Thursday, November 5 & 19 @ 5:30 p.m.  Our group is increasing in number, so please feel free to join in the fun!
• Dawna Jo Kiesling from the Highland County Extension office will be here to share Healthy Holiday Cooking and Baking tips and recipes from 2-4 p.m. on November 9 and November 20.  Please stop by her table for informative handouts and ideas for the holidays.
• Awesome Book Club for 5th and 6th graders meets from 4-5 p.m. to discuss "The 39 Clues: The Sword Thief" by Peter Lerangis.  Join Mrs. Reno for some fun and an after school snack!
• We will be hosting our annual Veterans Day Appreciation Breakfast Reception at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, November 10.  We encourage the Leesburg Community to join us during this time to honor and thank our local veterans for their service to our country.  We will have a short program followed by a continental breakfast for all in attendance.  The Library will be closed on Wednesday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day.
• Greenfield Area Medical Center Rehab staff will be taking blood pressure readings for our patrons on Tuesday, November 10 from 2:30-3:30 p.m.  We hope you will take advantage of this service.
• Our teen reading group, SPARX, will be discussing "If I Stay" by Gayle Forman. Join your friends as they share their thoughts regarding this moving novel about the power of love.  Copies of the book are available at the front desk.  Pizza and pop will be served.
• Our adult book discussion group, RRR, will be meeting on Thursday, November 19 to discuss reader's choice of a classic or "The Lucky One" by Nicholas Sparks.
• Our Story Times continue on Thursdays.  Wee Ones (6 months-36 months) meet at 10 a.m. and Tater Tots (3-5 yrs) meet at 10:30 a.m.  Themes for November include "I Believe I Can Fly," "The Magic of Books" and "Happy Thanksgiving."
• The Library will close at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25 and remain closed on Thursday, November 26 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.  We will reopen on Friday, November 27.  We want to take this opportunity to express our thanks to our patrons for their continued support of the Leesburg Library.  We appreciate you all and wish you and your families a Thanksgiving filled with happiness, love and laughter.
