Chatfield College announces two new admissions counselors
Chatfield College has announced the appointment of Chuck Marino and Dawn Crooks as new Admissions Counselors for Chatfield College’s St. Martin and Cincinnati locations.
Marino, a Georgetown resident originally from Buckhannon, W. Va., graduated from Fairmont State College with a bachelor’s degree in business
administration. He has more than twenty years management and business development experience in several leading retail establishments, including
Dicks Sporting Goods, and also owned a Sears store in Georgetown for nine years. He will be responsible for recruiting high school students and
returning learners in Brown, Adams, Clinton, Highland and Fayette counties.
“I believe in the Chatfield mission, with the goal of empowering students to exceed far beyond their expectations. As a long time Brown County resident, I want our students and adults to fulfill their dreams,” says Marino.
A Cincinnati native and graduate of Walnut Hills High School, Crooks obtained her bachelor’s degree in English from Central State University in
Wilberforce, Ohio. Crooks’ career in higher education began at Wilmington College, but it was her position at Xavier University as a Program
Coordinator for the Offsite MBA Programs that groomed her professionally and determined the course of her future in admissions. She brings13 years of
admissions experience in marketing and program promotion, admissions counseling, program development and management, student and faculty support, event planning and a wealth of knowledge in higher-education.
“I came to Chatfield because I was interested in working with a student population whose life challenges are similar to those I experienced in my
coming of age. As a product of the inner city, I believe that I can be an example and an inspiration to the student demographic of Chatfield College,”
says Crooks
