Brittany Ferrell and Brenna Simmons earn scholarships through Star Cinemas

The following student/employees of Star Cinemas recently received notification of being the recipient of a $1,000 scholarship each.

Brittany Ferrell and Brenna Simmons are this year's scholarship recipients.

These individuals were chosen from student/employees of NATO (National Association of Theaters Owners) employees covering five states.

This is a very coveted award only given to five student/employees.

• Brittany Ferrell (over two-year employee at Star Cinemas) is currently attending Hanover College in Indiana.

Brittany was an outstanding academic student and standout track athlete at Hillsboro High School. She is currently a member of the Hanover College track team.

Brittany is daughter of Becky and Tony Ferrell of Hillsboro.

• Brenna Simmons (over two-year employee) currently is attending Ohio State University.

Brenna is a second generation employee following in the footsteps of her mother who was one of the original staff when theater opened.

Brenna is a graduate of Fairfield High School and graduated with high academic honors.

Brenna is planning on majoring in Pre-Med at OSU. She is the daughter of Jaime and Clansey Simmons.
