Students and staff in the Bright Local School District returned to their classes this past Wednesday, and are excited to get back in the swing of things this fall. This fall, both the high school, and elementary will be working together to staff the Bright Food Pantry located in the old Concord School House.
The goal is to encourage interaction between the two schools, and promote team work and leadership. Each grade level will be assigned a specific item to benefit the food pantry’s needs.
The list is as followed: Preschool, canned corn; Kindergarten, vegetable soup; 1st grade, canned green beans; 2nd grade, canned pineapple; 3rd grade, canned fruit cocktail; 4th grade, canned peaches; 5th grade, chicken noodle soup; 6th grade, tomato soup; 7th grade, canned chili; 8th grade, canned beef ravioli; 9th grade, boxed macaroni and cheese; 10th grade, spaghetti and sauce; 11th grade, creamy peanut butter, and 12th grade, canned tuna. All donations for the elementary will be collected in the Cafeteria and all donations at the jr./sr. high will be collected in the Student Center.
Donations are encouraged and appreciated in these hard financial times!
