Bright Local Schools celebrates Wildcat Learning Center with ribbon cutting

The Highland County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Bright Local Schools on Aug. 17 to celebrate the opening of the Wildcat Learning Center at Whiteoak High School. The Wildcat Learning Center is located in Mowrystown at 54 N High Street. The Wildcat Learning Center represents a transformational investment in the future of our students and community. 

Bright Local Schools, located in Mowrystown, celebrated the opening of their Wildcat Learning Center with a ribbon cutting from the Highland County Chamber of Commerce, along with family, friends, and members of the community on Aug. 17. Bright Local Schools is a K-12 public school.
 
Superintendent Jason Iles explains, “The Wildcat Learning Center represents a transformational investment in the future of our students and community. This innovative facility serves as the home of Bright Local's Workforce Development Center, College Credit Plus learning spaces, and collaborative community partnership offices designed to expand opportunities and support services for students and families.
 
In addition to celebrating the opening of this state-of-the-art facility, Bright Local Schools is excited to officially recognize its new partnership with HealthSource of Ohio. Through this collaboration, HealthSource will provide accessible, high-quality healthcare services to students, staff, and community members through the new school-based health center located within the Wildcat Learning Center.
 
The facility also includes dedicated meeting and service spaces for Counseling Source, further strengthening the district's commitment to supporting the academic, social, emotional, and mental wellness needs of students and families.
 
The Wildcat Learning Center reflects Bright Local's vision of creating pathways to success through education, workforce readiness, college opportunities, healthcare access, and community partnerships.”
