Several students from Bright Elementary School recently participated in St. Jude's Math-a-Thon.

The Math-a-Thon event is held every year to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, which provides cancer treatments to children, regardless of their family's ability to pay.

Bright Elementary has been participating in this event since 2001. Overall, the school has raised more than $20,000 for St. Jude's.

This year, these students raised $521.31. Students who raise $50 or more receive a T-shirt from St. Jude's.

The following students participated: (front) Landen Keeton, Jayah Chaney, Mason Greenwood, Ryan Gobin, Jillian Lucas, Jude Michael, Gabriel Michael and Lucas Pollard; (back) Molly McMullen, Madison McMullen, Sofia Juarez, Liliel Brown, Michelle Murphy and Kyler Chaney.
