The fourth grade students at Bright Elementary recently studied about Ohio becoming a state and taking the final step of writing a constitution.

Retired Navy Lt. Harold Gross and his wife, Mary, are the grandparents of one of the students, Olivia Wilson. Mr. and Mrs. Gross provided copies of the Constitution of the United States and the Declaration of Independence to every student in the fourth grade. The students were very excited to get the booklets and spent all their free time that day reading them. Mr. and Mrs. Gross made a special trip to the school to pass out the booklets to the students.

The fourth graders of Bright Elementary would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Gross and the Highland County TEA Party for donating these booklets that represent such a big piece of our nation's history to these classes.
