Mount Vernon Nazarene University is pleased to announce the upcoming exhibit, Kid’s Books & Other Holy Things, showcasing the thought-provoking work of acclaimed illustrator, graphic designer, author and printmaker Ned Bustard.

The exhibition will be held at Schnormeier Gallery from Sept. 2 to Oct. 18, offering an inspiring exploration of art that weaves together imagination, faith and storytelling.

Kid’s Books & Other Holy Things is a selection of linocut prints from Bustard’s publications, demonstrating how original artwork can be woven into and alongside the text of a manuscript. Highlights of the exhibit include pieces from Every Moment Holy: Volumes I-III, Aslan’s Breath: Seeing the Holy Spirit in Narnia, The Lost Tales of Sir Galahad and Saint Nicholas the Giftgiver.

Visitors are invited to join a special gallery talk with Bustard on Sept. 12 at 5 p.m., followed by a reception until 8 p.m. This event provides a unique opportunity to engage with the artist and gain insights into his creative process and the themes behind his work.

Bustard, based in Lancaster, Pa., is the creative director for World’s End Images and Square Halo Books Inc. and curates the Square Halo Gallery.
