Appreciation tea celebrates district's mothers

The British Literature class of Whiteoak Jr/Sr High School will host the mothers of the Bright Local District for an appreciation tea on Monday, May 17. This Service Learning project, funded by the Learn and Serve Ohio grant, concludes the students' study of the culture and literature of Great
Britain.
The menu will include various teas, tea sandwiches and deserts that would be served at a typical British afternoon tea. The free event will take place at the Belfast United Methodist Church between 1:30 and 3 p.m. The church is located at 1862 State Route 73, east of Hillsboro.
